I am a wave of stoke for Stand Up Paddling and I am on a mission to grow the sport in Canada. I believe in promoting safety and fun, and I believe that every person deserves to explore how they become wild and free. I will inspire and provide an opportunity for self-growth and help build skills by facilitating learning objectives and mentoring for fellow paddlers.
Stand up paddling for the past 8 years I am not a stranger to exploring the water and taking being self supported. I have standup paddled over 20 different river stretches ranging from Class 1 to Class 4, from Alberta to all across BC and in the heart of Colorado since 2014. I am a Paddle Canada Advanced Flatwater Instructor Trainer, Ocean Touring Instructor and a River Skills 1 and 2 Instructor and mentoring to be a River Instructor Trainer by the summer of 2020. I have SUPed the Lower and Main Salmon Rivers on separate ten day raft assisted expeditions. I work with various paddling schools to lead multi day river retreats. I attended the Mountaineering and Adventure Skills training program in Fernie BC in 2012 where I learnt many of the skills necessary for this expedition and found my passion for exploring wild rivers.
R.E.T.A SUPS is hoping to grow by leading more Standup Paddle Boarding Instructor courses, River Skills courses, River Surfing Clinics, SUP fishing, and SUP retreats. I will also be starting to apprentice as a River
